I have critiqued more manuscripts than I can remember. For the past few years, I’ve been a critique ninja at 12×12. In addition, I helped choose manuscripts as a reader for the We Need Diverse Books judge mentors.

I’ve successfully mentored an aspiring author at Inked Voices. She is agented and has a book contract. Woohoo!

Mentoring an aspiring author means the author is willing to learn, get feedback and kill those darlings! I cannot guarantee a book deal or an agent, but I can guide you through my lived experiences.

A picture book critique is $125. This includes a Zoom call and one critique of your picture book.

A mentorship costs $1000. This includes a critique of your manuscript at least three times (you can pick the same one or different ones) as well as 6 one hour Zoom calls and any reasonable questions/ideas you may have in between critiques.  A mentorship is a collaboration! ☺
